Hi guys, on the real DAT are you able to hit "previous question" during each question screen, or just "next question". When you get to the end to review, are there options for "review blank" and "review marked", and if so when you go to review them is it set up like DAT Bootcamp where you click next and it takes you to the next blank/marked question, or like DAT Genius where you have to click through every question? Is there a review option on each question, or is that only at the end?

Basically, where and when do you get what options? Haha sorry for the crazy question! I just want to know what to expect. Thanks!!!

To my knowledge it's exactly like bootcamp, review option on every question (at least for reading which is the only time I use that button). On exam day I promise the format will be the least of your concerns! When is your test again?

I almost 100% certain that there is a "previous" button on every question. I don't think the "review" button shows up until you get through all the questions. I wouldn't count on there being a "review blank" button, at least from what I remember. I'm not sure if when you click through review questions it only goes through marked ones either; like the person above me said its not something you're thinking about at the test center. One thing for sure though is that you can right click to strike through answer choices in every section. Hope that helps at least a little!

Something to keep in mind, I just found out from my Prometric center, that NO note taking can occur before you start the Natural science exam.

Personally I usually would have written out PAT charts, but I usually have 2-3 minutes at the end of the NS. Will be using this time and the small window in-between NS and PAT to write down the charts.

Yes, RC is the main reason I'm curious! I always have to go back during a passage and I wanted to make sure I didn't need to revise my strategy 🙂. My test is Thursday :help:. Thanks for your response.

Thank you, I am very excited about the strike out option! I used to write abcde across the top of my scratch paper and x them out on there, but it was kind of a PITA haha. I appreciate the help!

My center told me the same (I called to ask). Thankfully I always have a little extra time as well 🙂. Good luck, yours is tomorrow right?

Yep tomorrow it is. Can not wait to take it honestly, today I am just sitting around probably take a PAT test and some QR so I don't burn out ha

I just took the exam today, so I can confirm that yes, there are "Previous" and "Next" buttons for each question. At the end during the review, you get to see both "Marked" and "Incomplete" questions. What's also great is when you're reviewing your marked or incomplete questions, hitting "Next" will take you straight to the next marked/incomplete question! I thought that was neat. I didn't get to use the strikeout and highlighting feature as much as I was planning to. I honestly forgot about the strikeout because I was too in-the-zone to utilize it.

Thank you so much!! This is very helpful. Congratulations on taking your DAT! How did it go (don't answer if you don't want to 🙂 )?

You're very welcome! Feel free to ask anymore questions to ease your test anxiety leading to D-Day. I know I felt like a wreck the few days leading to mine. You'll do great though 🙂 I've been seeing you around here often and I know you've been working hard. The results will show. Good luck to you! I'm feeling content with my score, but I just wish I scored a point higher or two, but I can't complain. As long as I don't need a retake, I feel fine 😀 I'll probably post a breakdown soon either tonight or tomorrow.

Thank you. You are so very kind! I am a giant ball of stress right now, so I may be asking more in the next 2 days. I'm so glad you did well - don't worry about a point or two, I bet everyone wishes they got a point or two higher. Go celebrate and enjoy the fact that you are done!!!
