I'm going to buy the Atlas of Human Anatomy for my boyfriend as a gift. I want to make sure I buy the right one. Looking online, I find 2: the paperback and the hardback. The hardback says it's the professional edition. Which one is the one I should get, or is there even a difference between the two? Thanks

They are probably the same, and if not, they are definitely close enough to being the same. I own the paperback version, and I have occasionally used a hardcover version in the library, and of course, all the same stuff is in there. Go for the cheaper one.

Go paperback. It will fit into backpacks, etc. easier. There shouldn't be any difference in content.

This is a little early to be worrying about starting his collection. Whichever you purchase, it will get used and abused.

Thanks for the help. He'll be starting med school in the fall and has been wanting to get this book. I think it will be a good gift. Thanks again

👍

Actually I can think of something that I would prefer to an anatomy atlas. How about a live demonstration?
