I've seen a lot of programs offering CAGS (certificate of advanced graduate study), especially at Master's of Mental Health Counseling programs. Does anyone have any opinions or knowledge about the value of such programs? How do potential employers look at these programs? Do they provide a lot more training or is it just a way for schools to get more money out of poor master's students?

I'd love to hear what everyone has to say about this. Also, if there is a similar thread about this that I have missed, feel free to point me in the right direction.

THANKS!! 😀

Typically that allow for further training in a particular area. The university in my area that does this has a few CAGS areas. The areas are Biofeedback, Play Therapy, and Marriage/Family Counseling.
