Hello, I would be really appreciated if you can give me advice.
I have now C- from first part of general physics and C from first part of anatomy class.
I decide to retake those two courses to boost my GPA.
Since school is closed due to the holiday season, I read information written on the school website.
My first question is that they say I must retake the class at my school if I want grade forgiveness. However, for financial reason, I would like to take those two classes at the community college. If I would retake them and get A from community college, what could I do? Can you give me advice?
Since my university would not accept the grade of retaking classes from community college, I would still have C- and C at my university and A and A from community college for the physics and anatomy. What could I do when I apply to the pt school?
Thanks.

Anyang!

First, you want to check with your prospective PT schools and see if they will allow community college Anatomy and Phys or other subjects. I know some schools want those courses from a University. You can find that info on PTCAS website.

If they allow community college courses, you can re-take those courses there. If you receive a higher grade, it will boost your GPA and the school will take that grade. Also, when you are filling out PTCAS, you will designate which classes you want them to use for the prereqs.

Thanks for very clear answer. I am really appreciated.
So I do not have to worry about my cumulative GPA from my university which includes C- and C for my physics and anatomy? I could just tell PTCAS that I retake physics and anatomy and designate them to use my highest grades from physics and anatomy?
Thanks.

You can retake the courses but if you apply to any PTCAS schools you have to input ALLcoursesfrom every shook you've attended and it's likely that regardless of how the individual schools look at GPAs of retakes (some will avert the higher of the two and some accept an average of the two grades) PTCAS will average everythig together about 70 different ways.

Thanks for advice.
Do you think how most likely PT schools would accept my higher grades of physics and anatomy from community college. In other words, if I get higher grade than C- and C from my previous classes of physics and anatomy at my 4 year university, can you tell my how possibly they would accept only my higher grades but not the C- and C even though they still shows on the PTCAS. Thanks

You will just have to check each school's policy on corse retakes, that's all 🙂 I think it is much more common for the higher grade to be taken over averaging the two, but just check the schools you are interested in and in the meantime kick those classes' butts!!

Thanks a lot. I am really appreciated.
You happy new year.^^ <--- korean expression which same as 🙂
