I recently got a C in an upper level Biochem class and I was wondering how the adcoms might look at it? I also meant to ask the professor for a LOR as she knows me very well, but now I am a little hesitant. Even with the C, my GPA when I apply to med schools next year is going to be 3.5/3.5.

You will be fine. 1 C will not keep you from acceptance. If you don't get accepted there are other discrepancies amidst.
