I have gotten C- in General bio lab(separate from lecture) back in 05 and I could not repeat the class at my undergrad. I have retaken equivalent class( does not separate lab and lecture) at community college. Would this be a problem in the future when I apply for schools?

There is another problem. The class I retook to replace my general bio 1 class was equivalent course when I looked it up 1 year ago. But when I checked again this year, it is saying that its not equivalent anymore. I have taken plenty of bio courses with labs.

Don't sweat it bro. It might come up in an interview, but just be able to explain it. I got a C in Chem II lecture and a C in Orgo II lecture. Just try to get your science gpa as high as you can with As in other classes.

Just one class?? Um, no.

No, it wouldn't be a problem. Just make sure you would not get any D on your transcript. Medical schools tend to emphasize more on your overall trend and improvement, as long as you are getting good grades from other courses to boost up your GPA, you should be fine. No sweats!

As others have said, it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Just make sure you keep improving. I received a D in Gen. Bio II (combo lecture and lab) during my Freshman year, had to repeat the class of course, but made up for it with a 4.0 for the past two years (Junior and Senior). It's not the end of the world if you screw up early on, it just makes it a little bit of an uphill battle. Just learn from it and make sure it doesn't happen again. If brought up in an interview, you could even use the situation as a turning point in your undergrad education where you realized that you had to grow up and commit to making good grades if you plan on becoming a doctor.
