Should I retake the class? is it worth it? would you?

If I was hard-pressed for time, then I wouldn't. I'm forced to graduate college in 4 years because my parents put that restriction on me. However, if I had all the money and time in the world, I'd retake all of the classes I got C's in.

No need to if you get good on pcat. I didn't retake my c. You should retake it if you want Cali school

Personally I would not retake it. Do well in your other classes and study hard for the PCAT to annihilate the chemistry section.

don't retake. i did worse, and got a C in A&P. didn't take the PCAT either. WORK IN A PHARMACY, get CPhT, and prove yourself to yourself.

I love ur answers guys, thx! especially the part about doing well on the Pcat =)

I would generally agree with the other posters; I normally wouldn't recommend retaking OChem II with that grade. However, I remember from the "How many time did it take" thread that you have a 2.4ish PharmCAS GPA. You're going to need to bring that up somehow to at least a 2.5, if you still have several prereqs to take, I say don't retake OChem and do really well on what you have left. If you've already taken most of your prereqs, it might be prudent to start looking into retaking some. You definitely need to kill the PCAT in chemistry though.

Best of luck!

make sure that for your last year as an undergrad, you take the hardest course loads imaginable, like 19+ credits, all upper division 300+ level classes and get like straight A's. maybe an A- or B. you just need to prove to them that once you find your niche, you can handle a rigorous course load and prevail.

Alright, thank you.

Thanks for your suggestion too.

I would go with previous posts, its more about the overall gpa versus just one course. If your gpa is strong enough then don't sweat it, if not...you may wanna reconsider. A good PCAT is helpful but it is balanced by your gpa (varies of course if school weighs one more than the other). Just something to consider. Personally I did best I could in organic so wasnt something I had to worry about but then again I didn't take the PCAT though Im sure I would have done fairly well on that as well.

C+ in organic chemistry isn't anything to worry too much about. Organic is a hard class,

I wonder what pharm course organic chem's are prerequisites for? Hmm, maybe I'll Google that later.
