So I have already graduated and realized that I have a C- in a Prereq (Organic II)

I am planning to apply to pharmacy school this upcoming cycle

Do I need to quickly retake the class this summer or can I apply with the C- and retake the class in fall or spring semester once my application is already in? Is there any way to indicate that I plan on retaking the class on pharmcas, considering I already have my degree?

Also, if I am taking the PCAT in October will the final results be in soon enough for schools with an application deadline in November?

Thanks!

Majority of schools require a C (2.0) minimum for all prereqs. So it would be best to contact whatever schools you are looking to apply to and ask. (Or check the admissions site)

Also you will likely have your official scores released about 3-4 weeks. But pharmcas has a few lag days I believe. But you can submit your app before the deadline and then your PCAT score will be sent later when they are released from Pearson.

Okay thanks! Assuming the school DOES require a C or higher, can I still submit the application and update it later? Or will they automatically reject it? Is there any way of indicating that the class will be retaken in the fall/spring semester or do I have to meet this requirement the instant that I send my transcripts?

Yes you can list courses as Planned to retake. Most schools just require you to finish your prereqs before starting school once you actually get in. Check with the individual schools about when it's acceptable.

They will probably not reject it right away, but there may be a slim chance you are placed on Hold until you actually finish the class and it shows up on your transcript for them.
