I keep hearing from people that you don't need to do a C/L fellowship to handle consults from med/surg floors in a community hospital. Is this true even in Northeast cities? Obviously there are benefits to doing the actual fellowship, but do these overshadow the extra investment if you can still do med-psych work in the community setting? Thank you!
