Half way through interview process. Im finally coming to senses as to what Im looking for in a residency program. The tough part after liking so many programs is making a rank list. I would like to hear you guy's top 3 choices and why. Myself Im thinking it will be
1.UCLA
2.UCSF
3????

I cant make a list with 2 places 😎

Why not Stanford?

yeah I know. It really sounds like Standford is everyone's number one. I think I want to go back to SoCal unless I really like a place. I was thinking I would not like UCSF but I did. I was thinking I wouldnt like children's Okland but I did. 😡
To answer your question I didnt apply to Standford 😳

here's my list at the moment of cali programs
1/2) loma linda
1/2) oakland
3) USC
4) CHOC

I didnt apply to stanford or ucsf, even though i am a bay area native, those arent the type of places where i feel like i would fit in or get what i want out of residency.

1. UCSF
2. CHLA
3. UCLA
(However, Stanford would be #1 if you had applied there)
But I'm a little biased towards free standing facilities and research. Take it or what it is worth.
