For whatever reason, every single interaction I’ve had with anyone hiring for CDCR (including some of their supervising psychiatrists) has always been something a little short of misleading and disorganized. Either their telework positions (even overnights) are really, really hot or they’re just horrible at pushing applications through unless you have ties. I always thought anyone with a pulse could get a CDCR job.

I heard people were leaving the tele night work for days and/or that it used to be better… They’ve snubbed me a handful of times when applying to their tele gigs in the past few years, even after giving the congrats you moved to the next stage and interview timeframes. Ominous, I guess.

No...the jobs pay really well. They're competitive and ANY salaried 100% telework job that isn't frankly fraudulent is going to be extremely competitive.

That’s sounds accurate but upon vetting people did not want to cover multiple sites and work overnight, hence the vacancies. Telework with Cdcr has also been spotty in terms of longevity, hiring freezes, etc.
