I majored in health science and graduated with 2.93 gpa. I took all the science classes except biochem but my orgo 1 and 2 lecture and lab, bio 1 and 2 lab and chem 1 lab are not counted towards my gpa. How do I calculate my science GPA for dental school.

My overall GPA is really low and I know I don't have chance in getting into dental school, So I am planning on doing master program. But I don't which master program I should do. Becoming dentist is my major goal in life but due to English being my second language and family financial situation I have struggled alot in BS degree. I want to improve my chance of getting into dental school.

What do you mean classes are not counted towards your GPA? Were they P/NP?

You can do a post-bac or a masters but either way you will have to do well on the DAT to show that you have overcome your GPA.

There's almost always a way, but you must work hard and stick with it.

Each credit is worth 4 quality points. If you get a 4.0 than you multiply by the amount of credits, so if its a 3 credit course you get 12 QP. When you add all your QP and then divide by 4 you will have your oGPA. While your school may not count those courses towards GPA, dental school will.
