Hey guys,

Question on conversion rates from university grades to AADSAS. My school grades with the number system, i.e. 3.4, 3.2, 3.5, etc. I just calculated my science gpa and overall gpa given the AADSAS guidelines and it got bumped up almost .2 gpa for both. Does this sound right?

I’m thinking that the AADSAS gpa just works out really well for me because for example a 2.8 would get bumped up to a 3.0, or a 3.4 gets bumped up to a 3.5. I’m just making sure this makes sense and that is how AADSAS changes number gpa to their version of gpa. I took the table off the AADSAS website. This may be a stupid post and stating the obvious but this just seems too good to be true so I want to make sure I’m not missing something. (See attached file for clarification)

It's standardized by letter grades, so yes, if your school gives out A's or A+'s for relatively wide ranges of percentages or GPA points, then chances are the AADSAS scale will help you and your GPA will go up.

My GPA (Science, Cumulative and BCP) got bumped up almost by a whole point....
So yes, as long as it works in your favor, just :soexcited:

This seriously makes me wonder how AADSAS would calculate my GPA….my school does things very weird. 😕 But congratz on that! lol

oh yeah i'm definitely happy. My overall GPA went from 3.38 to 3.52 and my science gpa went from 3.02 to a 3.32, which makes me a MUCH more competitive applicant given that my AA is 19 and my PA is 22. Dental school, here I come!
