Well if you receive point values (4.0,3.5 etc), add those up and divide by the total classes taken to get a GPA. GPA and letter grades typically follow the following trend:
A= 4.0
A-=3.6667
B+=3.333
B=3.0
B-=2.6667
etc.
A= 4.0
A-=3.6667
B+=3.333
B=3.0
B-=2.6667
etc.
