Is anyone planning on.... just abusing the calculator for the math section rather than following some of the tips from chad, haha. Just wondering if that's a bad idea or not!

For those who have taken the exam already, any thoughts on the whole plug and chug strategy/abusing the calculator??

Im not very good or fast at mental arithmetics to begin with but.. I did w.e that was the fastest for me personally. I just knew that in certain situations/problems using the calc is faster for me, while in other situations using chads tricks/mental math is faster. I also practiced using the mouse to input commends so I can be super fast when I do spam the calc.

I think that some questions are better for "abusing the calculator" vs. other's are way better to just not even touch it. Sometimes its more effective to plug-n-chug instead of over thinking the question too much. Figuring out when to the use the calculator, I think, will come with practice with different types of questions.

I'll use it more than he does but not abuse it.. I'm really good with doing most math in my head but I have problems with doing what Chad does.. Where he just takes estimates and picks the closest number. I have to get the exact answer.

i did a lot of plug and chug ..i dont think i really set up any equations in practice nor on the real thing...was just quicker for me and more effective... i practiced with the calculator during the 15 min tutorial to see how i can play with it and how quick/slow it is ...i recommend doing the same...my calculator was perfectly good ...the only maybe slight problem is if you try hitting the same number multiple times, it may not register or it may lag, so just dont do too crazy with that and practice with it first during the tutorial
