I'm reading the new guide for the DATs and it said that calculators are now available on the computer screen to use! http://www.ada.org/sections/educationAndCareers/pdfs/dat_examinee_guide.pdf

on page 43 it states:
(Calculator available on computer screen, effective 3/2/2010; see image below)
Mathematical Problems - Algebra (equations and expressions, inequalities, exponential notation, absolute value, ratios and proportions, and graphical analysis); Numerical calculations (fractions and decimals, percentages, approximations, and scientific notation); Conversions (temperature, time, weight, and distance); Probability and Statistics; Geometry; and Trigonometry
Applied Mathematics (Word) Problems

Does this mean we wont get nice numbers anymore? 🙁
I'm taking the DAT 1st time on June 8th and I've been studying with the DAT destroyer and DAT achiever, and kaplan.. but all those QR questions are based on simple numbers... should I be worried? Has anyone taken it with the calculator?

Its pretty much the same exact questions as before. The only thing is, the calculator has made it easier for everyone, and given the fact that your score depends on how other people do, this isn't necessarily the greatest thing in the world. Also, the calculator is not really that convenient... You have to press everything with your mouse (keyboard doesnt work), so it can be time consuming.
