I am a senior in Dental School finishing school next month and want to move to Southern California and join one of the practices there, but the dilemma is that I might not graduate on time, so I am wondering if I can still apply for my State License in California with a certificate of completion instead of the diploma from school. I will really appreciate if one of you could throw some light on this situation of mine as reaching the California Dental Board website as well as phone or email has yielded no response.

Good thinking, great job market

No... I am from BU too.. They will not process your application because the school won't certify that you have graduated. Don't get carried away with the " will graduate" column..does n mean anything.. Your application will be on hold till sept 25 .

California is a great state to practice but unfortunately SoCal is so crowded with dentists, you see them almost in every corner, every year almost 1000 are licensed here.
