I have been accepted at a pharmacy school and will be starting in Fall of 2018 in California. When will I be allowed to apply for the intern license? I currently work at CVS pharmacy as a technician but is there any way to change my title to a pharmacist intern since I got accepted? any advice would be great thanks.

Most schools in California will send intern apps for the entire class in the first two weeks of first semester. Nobody that I know became an intern prior to start of pharmacy school....

I am assuming that you will choose to stay in California. Just curious what is your thoughts that we have five pharmacy schools that have yet to graduate a single class and that you will graduate after them (KGI, chapman, west coast, ketchum, and California health sconces)? What about the fact that Walgreens announced there will be an indefine wage freeze due to saturation? What is your motivation for going to PHARM school?

I know about all the problems and I have thought about it a lot. The truth is pharmacy is where my passion is and I don't really belong in any other profession. I have tried to get a head start by finishing my undergrad a year early and then going to a 3 year program, but I am still worried but I don't know what to do. I don't want to brag but I have a really high GPA and I got the 99th percentile on the PCAT and everyone has told me to do dentistry or MD but I just can't see myself doing those.

interesting. Just curious what draws you to pharmacy specifically? What area of practice?

Well...any response?

My passion is to retire early and pharmacy ended up being the least worst option to reach that goal
