So they still want us to call a 1-800 number and deal with all the BS to get an early refill out to patients who are displaced by the Holy fire.

As if they have 30 minutes to waste during this time of crisis.

Great job Kaiser... putting patient's lives and safety first.

I did ask them what if the patient can't wait for overrides... they said pharmacy has to fill at their own expense and collect any medication costs.
 
this emergency situation means that insurance will have to pay for early refills or replace lost meds, and it cuts into their profit margin, of course they would make you wait 30 min to get an over ride.
 
30 minutes sounds pretty good for insurances. It's not like they are asking them to fax proof that their house burned down.
 
Well, KP hasn't been the best corp about that. CA law has changed quite significantly to address KP's ineptitude and inhumanity during the Rodney King Riots (literally shut and barricaded the door on their black and Korean patients, something that a lot of employers in town never forgot).
