Hi all,

I've been a retail pharmacist in CA for about 2 years now and looking to relocate to Texas. Wanted to ask for recommendations on what I should use to study.. Any tips/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!! Also I know CA doesn't participate in MPJE does any one have experience with the process of reciprocating license from CA to Texas?

🙂 Thanks in advance.

Process info is all here: https://www.pharmacy.texas.gov/infocist/reciprocity.asp
And the laws to learn for the MPJE are linked here (but the rest of the info is for new grads getting their first license): https://www.pharmacy.texas.gov/infocist/Exam_intro.asp

any recommendations on books? I was looking at
1) Texas and Federal Pharmacy and Drug Law - 10th Edition (2016) Paperback – 2016
by Fred S. Brinkley Jr. (Author), Gary G. Cacciatore
Which was $179 ... kind of steep

OR 2)
Texas Pharmacy Laws and Regulations
Publisher: LexisNexis Publishing Solutions Government
Which is $46 ...

Do you guys think the 2nd one is enough to pass the exam?

I used the first one. It was the 2012 or '13 edition though - can't really remember. It was extremely detailed though, although I used it in addition to a brief/concise copy that was floating around here at that time, which was a 2010 edition. Quite a few things have changed since then.

Please stop spamming the forums with your question. You have asked this in several threads already. The new MPJE only started in April, so there won't be many that have taken the 120 question version yet. However, in a month or 2 that number will grow exponentially. Best advice is to study the same way people have for the previous MPJE, read the updated competencies for your state, and do your best.

Hey, did you have to retake the NAPLEX again since it has been a while since you've taken it in CA? OR just the TX MPJE?

Just make sure when you move out of the poop hole California, don't vote for the same policies in TX

We built this city on necro posts.

If I were Mormon I would have moved to Utah already.
