Call of Duty 4

Team Fortress 2 is my new crack pipe.

I haven't played it much because of that.

I was ranked number 75 out of like 10,000 people in Team Fortress Classic. It, uhhh, consumed me. Belonged to a TFC clan, competeted in tournaments, our clan was ranked #3 in the world at one time fer cryen out loud. So I stay away from TF2. For now...

Anyways Trisomy, if you beat Portal the closing credits song is gonna kill you man. Especially if you like MF doom and crazy lyrics, its worth beating the game (takes about 2-3 hours or so and is fun as hell).

i played portal up to one of the last stages and got stuck. walked away from it to come back for a fresh look and got sucked into the TF2 vortex. i'll revisit portal my next weekend off.

COD4...

Dang... just played this game on my bro-in-law's computer... 22" flat panel high def screen and surround sound. Damn. Agree that the single player is short, but the multiplayer is damn fun. I also like the headquarters game for a little better defined areas.

I need to get a new computer.

okay now if you guys want to talk video games. Has anyone played Bioshock for 360? I just rented that sucker and its wicked! Spent every waking moment with that thing. Regressed back to my days in grammar school when nintendo first came out. Thumbs up...between COD4, Halo, and Bioshock I'm good.

I don't think you would find a COD4 thread in any of the other specialty forums.

That is why anesthesiology is the best. specialty. ever.

Bioshock is a work of art.

i intially read this thread a few months ago and scratched my head wondering, "what's call of duty?"

fast forward to a few days before the holidays when i got COD4 for my ps3 and suddenly it's as though i'm reading the thread for the first time...and it makes sense.

awesome game...even better online play (when the servers are working...). maybe the 3 or 4 other games you guys mentioned will make sense to me if i get them, too. good times...

Amen.

fascinoma, i too dabble in PS3 COD4. My PSN name is evgeninabakov (goalie for the sj sharks...go sharks.)

COD4 is undeniably better than Halo 3, but the AI and level design is terribly linear. Now Crysis... that's a great FPS.

COD4 MP is great, though...If only the ps3 version supported rumble.

But I have a question for you, are the ground textures in the PC version blurry and pixellated? This is true for the ps3 version...

So I get to the part where the bridge blows up, ya crawl out, somehow we all get blown up but I'm still alive, dude flips me a pistol and I shoot the 3 bad guys....

credits roll....

is that it?

No more acts?

COD4 is a really great game on the PS3, and what makes it better is that the online play for PS3 is free and enjoyable.

I don't belong in the anes. forum, but this is a topic I can participate in. It is pretty awesome on 360. Seems to take an ungodly long time for me to search out games on xbox live though. If any of you wanna play sometime, feel free to add me. My xbox live sn is MossPoh as well.

Yep, that's it. Short game eh? The real glory is with the multiplayer

The PS3 version does support rumble (a more advanced version too), it's just that the rumble controllers are only out in Japan right now. They'll be here pretty soon though.

Jet-
Actually, there is one more act. You have to work through a plane and shoot a bunch of bad guys before skydiving out. Hardest (and shortest) mission in the game. Worth a lot of gamer points if you beat it on veteran (good luck though).

Cool.

Thanks.

Still seems like a short game since I was able to finish it.

On the playstation 2 I was never able to finish SOCOM NAVY SEALS.

Seems like their acts took much longer and the lack of save points along the way meant if you screwed up you had to go WAAAYYYYY back and start over.

I like playing the arcade version.

See how many points you can rack up on the ACT III level "Heat"

Get that gatling gun on the downed friendly helicopter and just unload the fury. Ka-ching
