I understand that calling to follow up and make sure your application has been received, is being processed, etc. is great. I've called each school making sure everything is there. I'd like to call again though...I know it's great to show interest and I DO want to make sure my application is getting some time and not being put aside. What are other reasons I could contact the admissions office? For example, I received an email from NYU, saying my application is being reviewed by the admissions committee and I'll find out mid-september. I get a lot of emails like this, so I feel like there is really no reason to call...but I want them to know i'm really interested in going there! Anyone else call frequently? Do you feel like a nuisance?

Don't call anymore. Once is enough. Do you even know if the person answering the phone is channeling your "really interested in the school" energy to the admissions committee?

If I was answering the phone and you called more than once and I REMEMBERED you calling more than once. You would lose quality points. Think of how many calls they get.

To answer your questions. No, I don't call frequently because I WOULD feel like a nuisance.
