Calling schools on December 1st

So I was wondering if anyone would be calling schools that they have had interviews at to find out if you were accepted. I'm really tempted to do this because I don't want to wait any longer than I have to, and I also have a flight on December 1st to go to another interview on December 2nd. But if I get in to the schools that I want to go to on December 1st I'll skip the flight and celebrate. I'm just not too sure how schools feel about applicants calling them on December 1st.

I'll probably do it. However, I doubt they would actually tell you if you were rejected over the phone? Who knows.

I absolutely would not. But that's just me. I figure Dec 1st might be a crazy day for them already and if you are going to be accepted, they would let you know early on in the day (hopefully). I would at least give them until the end of the day.

However, I might feel different if I were in your situation. You will probably know just by checking on SDN which schools updated AADSAS, what time, etc.

About the skipping your flight, Is it just me, or maybe you should just go since you won't get that money back anyways? If you got into your first choice and don't feel the need for another interview, consider it a well-earned mini-vacation! Hopefully it's somewhere interesting in that case 😉

No need to call. They will let you know when they get to it. Dec 1st is not the only day schools send out acceptances. If you call just to "see" if you were accepted you may find an unwanted letter in your mail box in the days to come 🙄.

I don't think calling will affect your fate at the school.

Would you like to take tons of calls when you're taking finals? Think about it. This is one busiest days of the year for them. Don't call, wait. You will know soon enough.

Most schools are NOT going to pick up phone calls on Dec. 1 🙂 Best to wait it out.
