Does anyone know if its better to call or e-mail the admissions office? I haven't gotten secondaries from two schools and I just want to check on things. Thanks! 🙂

I don't think it matters much. Although some schools have really rude people answering phones... so you might want to e-mail those schools...

If you post what schools you're waiting for, someone might be able to tell you how long it takes to receive that secondary after you have been processed.

Emails can easily be ignored, but with the phone call, you at least get someone talking to you. On the flip side, I've gotten replies from most of my emails, and the responders are pretty polite. That way, you at least get some documentation of your app status. Either way, it's good to communicate, otherwise you won't ever know what's going on with your app 🙂

call them...force them to talk to you.

I could barely understand the woman who talked to me on the phone at Tulane...very heavy accent.

The Johns Hopkins people weren't very friendly on the phone.

Actually, I called JHU and they were very nice, so were UMD admissions people. However, when i tried calling GWU they were unbelievably rude. I think it just depends on who picks up the phone..But personally i would call, jut b/c they won't be bale to ignore u.
