So, my last interview, I was talking to someone who...not only had they received a couple calls from programs (and not shady programs), they were also being flown out by Brown to visit the program again.

Of course, I've received no calls.

So, now I'm nervous.

I've never heard of any EM program paying to fly someone out for a first interview, much less a second. You're lucky if an EM program pays your hotel bill.

phone calls, yes, those happen. I've gotten a couple from either residents or from the PDs. Mostly they're "do you have any other questions" type phone calls, not "we ranked you highly". An obviously, I never have any questions so the phone conversation just turns awkward. Therefore, I know let all strange phone numbers go to voicemail.

Flying someone out, no.

Some places will pay for your hotel room if you come back for a second look.
