Hi, Guys
Some one advised me to read the campbell book thoroughly for the bio section of the DAT. Can someone point out which sections would be worth reading and which sections could still be prepared from the Kaplan book alone. Although I did start reading the campbell book, the book is too detailed.
Thanks guys

The whole book is pretty good for the dat.
just dont read the sections that you are really familiar with.

I like Life better than Campbell mainly because she has a whole appendix dedicated to where different techniques are talked about throughout the text.

Go through Kaplan and find the areas in which you feel least prepared. Then read the appropriate sections from Campbell. Kaplan is great overview of the bio material but you will easily notice it is lacking in some areas. On the other hand, Campbell could be a little too detailed.

I would read the entire campbell, and not rely on kaplan. Some chapters, such as the ones on plants you should read, but not spend as much time on. I would recommend not even looking at the kaplan bio section. It doesn't cover close to all the topics and it's far too broad. The chemistry section is fairly good though.

I agree Campbell's Biology is a great supplement to your preparation for the Bio section. I found it to be well organized and an easy read. Just make sure to use several different materials since they can ask anything for the bio section.

Good Luck!!

i am starting to study bio section for dat. Do you think if I go over that site and understand it all that that is a good enough review for bio??????? what would you suggest???
