Can anyone recommend a derm app for the iphone?

Specifically, I am looking for a visual reference guide of common skin conditions/diagnoses. I was browsing itunes and came across a couple, but they seemed a bit incomplete and unprofessional looking.

For any others looking for the same deal, the best one (by far) I found based a couple recommendations is called Pocket Derm.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pocket-derm/id389496059?mt=8

Copied from that page:
Dermatology is an often neglected area in medical education and training. Pocket Derm distills the field to a core group of common skin findings, allowing non-specialists to quickly diagnose dermatologic conditions without a referral or consult.

Core features include
*Over 50 common dermatologic diagnoses with definitions and photos for easy bedside comparison;
*Glossary of essential Derm Terms to help you precisely describe rashes and communicate with colleagues;
*Search by diagnosis or rash characteristics;
*Request A Diagnosis feature; and
*Free, unlimited updates.

Is that what people think dermatology is? Matching pictures on your phone to a patient's condition? Would the residency be 3 years (and a TON of information) if it were really that simple?

It seems like it is a focus for primary care docs so that they know what the common conditions usually look like with their classic images. In that way it is helpful. The description itself says it is a way to be able to communicate what a lesion looks like to other physicians.

If you want a e-solution for your Dermatology needs I suggest an iPad with some online books, e.g. Rook, Bolognia, Weedon, Requisites. For quick clinic reference I suggest Handbook of Dermatology.
