Yes. Applying DO can make up for a sub 30 MCAT.

Yes, a large donation check.

Seriously, many of the low-tier schools have MCAT floors that extend down to ~28+. And, depending upon what state you live in, they can go lower than that for in-state residents.

Invest in MSAR and apply to those schools whose median numbers are close to your own. Don't forget about DO programs either. They're more forigivng of the < avg MCAT with a good GPA like yours. My school would take you.

3.62 gpa, good e.c.s, solid recommendations is what i've got. im just super worried about getting a sub-30 mcat score on the mcat this month because schools care so much about this standardized tests. im studying the hardest i've ever studied for anything. can anything make up for a sub 30 mcat score? (which really doesnt seem that bad given a 29 is still better than 70% of people who take the test. god, wtf happens to those 70% of people?)

I think 30 is around the average for a lot of schools, so by nature of being an average there must be plenty of 28,29 scores

Retaking the MCAT can make up for a sub 30 score.
