I have a conference I need to leave for at 6 AM tom morning.

Can I submit my application at midnight tonight, or is 8 AM the earliest I can submit my application.

I was previously under the impression that the earliest you can submit your ERAS application is at 12:01AM Eastern Time on Sept 1st.

However on the ECFMG timeline, it states...

"SEP 1
At 8:00 a.m., Eastern Time in the United States, you can start using the MyERAS website to transmit your MyERAS application, Profile, and Personal Statement(s) to the ERAS PostOffice."

So which is it?

Thank you very much for your help.

go to bed and wake up and then submit the apps. i doubt anyone in any of the programs would be up and start dling apps at 1201am 9/1

I want to get it over with and then go to bed if I can rather than having it hanging over my head tom at the conference.

Does anyone know the actual answer, whether it's at midnight tonight or at 8am tom?

Thanks again.

Surely someone must know. I can't be the only person on this forum waiting to submit my application.

Thanks again.

Chill out and don't worry about it. Eight hours won't make a difference.

-AT.

If I have to wait till 8 tom, I probably won't be able to submit until tom night.

So I would really appreciate if someone could confirm the earliest you can submit it.

Thank you very much.

I'm shooting for Friday submission personally, or sometime this weekend. But I'm also applying to a field that takes its sweet time downloading applications.

I can understand if you're applying to a field that has early rolling interviews you would want to be on top of it a bit more.

Per our dean's office it's 8am EST.

Somebody please tell that to the people who just hammered the ERAS server while I was assigning LORs to programs...damn. Right at 12AM the site stopped responding and I can't log back in.

which field would that be? and how do I know if IM is considered to have early rolling interviews?

So I just submitted my app. a few mins. ago but I'm just waiting to be able to "Apply to Programs." I had assumed that the bright read "You may not apply to this program at this time" would go away after midnight and after I submitted my app. But after reading what you all said, do we definitely have to wait until 8 AM Eastern Time for those to disappear and check boxes to appear next to each program so that we can apply to them? Thanks

we live such sad, sad, lives...but on the other hand, i'm glad this thread is around b/c I had the same question when all my programs had the big red "you may not apply at this time" tags on them.

I'm going for my run, and just have to face the horrible reality of applying to my programs 30 minutes late!

I'd say let the insanity begin, but it began so very long ago...

Well.. it is now open and you can apply.

When I go to "track applications" it shows that my documents have not been uploaded to the postoffice, when they actually have. Does anyone else have this problem?
