I've been volunteering at the local ER for about 2 years and this particular ER doesn't allow us to do anything with patients other than occasionally transport them to another room. I already have a different volunteer experience that has very good patient contact and have been doing it long enough that it is more than good enough as far as patient contact hours are concerned. Im hoping to put the ER experience under "community service" hours because im lacking on those and because all i did there was pretty much clean rooms and make sure everything in the rooms was stocked up. Can I do this?

AACOMAS doesn't ask you to classify it. Its volunteer work, just put it in the EC/Volunteer/Community Service section and let them determine where it falls. You did it for 2 years, it shows dedication. Don't try to stretch things to what they are not to cover weaknesses, it will only accentuate them. At least in my opinion.
