As a typical pre-med, I have done much research on admissions statistics. There was one thing I did not understand. I completely meet the GPA/MCAT and EC's requirement for med school, but does that mean I will 100% get into at least one medical school? There are tens of thousands of people applying to a school, but they only take 100 applicants. They reject straight A students with near perfect MCAT's.

IT IS EASIER TO GET INTO HARVARD FOR UNDERGRAD THAN IT IS TO GET INTO A TYPICAL MEDICAL SCHOOL.

So even if I meet the requirements and would consider myself a strong applicant, am I actually going to get accepted somewhere. I am literally a number is tens of thousands of other names. I have nothing special about me that makes me stand out. Will I get into at least one school?

I'm pretty sure you're asking this question already knowing the answer. Is there anything in life that's 100%? You can have perfect stats, get tons of interviews, but then be an arrogant D-bag and not get in anywhere. If you have the whole package, you have a much better shot getting in, but it's a crap shoot in the end.

With a process like this, there are always going to be those who did everything "right" and still just got unlucky as well as those who did many things the "wrong" way but managed to beat the odds. Every year, there is no shortage of applicants who applied to 20+ schools and got accepted to one or two. They could have just as easily left that one school that accepted them off their list or chosen to apply somewhere else instead, and then they would have gotten in nowhere despite having done things almost identically. Then there are the people who only apply to one school because of location or because they can't afford to apply broadly, and they get super lucky to have chosen a school that would ultimately admit them. So yes, to answer your question, this process really is the crapshoot you feared. There's not some policy in place that says that anyone who is above a certain LizzyM, has X number of EC hours, and applies to at least X number of schools has to be provided at least one offer.

Each school doesn't have tens of thousands of people applying. Do some more research, and focus on your undergrad

Minimum requirements and being competitive are two VERY different things. There is no minimum number to reach to guarantee anything, but the highest GPA and MCAT you can possibly achieve will give you the best odds.

In addition, it's a seller's market for med schools admissions.

As an example at my med school:
5-6000 apps
~500 IIs
Accept ~300
Seat ~100.

See how hard it is to get in?

To answer your question: there are no guarantees you will be accepted by any med school. Around 60% ofcspplicants do not get accepted.

There is no guarantee anyone will get into 1 medical school. But thousands do, hopefully it will be you. The best thing I would suggest to stand out among the thousands is to connect with the med school you're interested in. Talk to people, attend their events, network. These are things the mast majority of applicants are not doing

Really? The best thing for OP to do is stop posting the same thing and work on her/his 3.2 GPA that isn’t competitive anywhere, let alone Harvard. OP you are finishing Freshman year. You can turn it around but it’s going to take very hard work on your part. There really isn’t anyway to predict if you will be accepted to any medical school. It’s up to you to put together the best and most complete application possible. And then applying to a broad spectrum of schools. Picking one school and attending events and networking isn’t going to do anything except waste your time and prevent you from developing a competitive application.

I dont disagree with you. My advice was supposed to be taken assuming OP has a competitive GPA/MCAT. He said med schools reject straight A's and high MCATs. I took OP's question as "what is the best way to stand out amongst competitive applicants." I don't know OP's GPA and of course a 3.2 GPA needs work.
