I am currently a freshman in an undergraduate degree program. There is the possibility that I may get dismissed from my current university due to a below 2.0 Chemistry GPA. All my other grades are above a 2.0, it's just the chemistry that is holding me back. If I am dismissed I plan to go to community college then transfer to a different university. My current university is on the quarter system and the one I would go to is on a semester schedule so only the units rather than the GPA will get transferred. If I improve my GPA in community college and in the semester school, is there still a possibility that I can get into a medical school despite being kicked out of the first university? Is there anything I can do to get into medical school after something like this?
If more specifics are needed I can give them.
Thank you!

You need to focus on acing your classes from here on out. I don't need to tell you how competitive getting into medical school is. Figure out what caused your low grades, then fix the problem. Since your GPA wont transfer, you will have a clean slate to work with. Make the most of it this time around.

As far as I am aware your grades will still show up on AMCAS even if they do not transfer to your next university. You enter grades for each co
Lege that you attend as they are awarded from the school they were taken at.

Yes, you can recover from this, but you'll be better served first by solving what deficits are causing you to do so poorly.

Then, start acing things. There are plenty of med schools that reward reinvention.
