I took Calc BC in high school and got a 5, so I placed out of Calc I and II. I took Calc III (multivariable calculus) last semester in college and received an A-... but now I'm not so sure if med schools would prefer consider that as satisfactory for their math requirements. Thoughts? It's kind of too late to go back and take Calc I and II...

Calc should count, and it typically depends on the school if they will accept your AP credit. If not, then you have 1 semester of math and considering those that require it want a year, you may want to add another math or stats course to get the full year.

That being said, I'd check with your school advisor/med school sites about particular requirements. But to answer your original question, any math course counts toward the requirement, not just calc 1 and 2.

This post is correct.👍 It should count. If you have that and some sort of Statistics class, you should fulfill a large majority of medical school requirements. Most people don't even go past Calculus I.

Some schools will also accept your AP credit. I agree with the above poster, take a stats class and call it a day.
