i want to know if any premeds have a strong opinion about this
i have to admit i'm sorta the guy to just jump on random bandwagons that pass my way. ron paul was one of them, and for the longest time i had been chanting his name (u know, to provoke a response from people, make conversation, fill the silence, or pretend i know a thing or two politics when i really don't). however, today, bored out of my mind, i youtubed "ron paul", sat through his whole speech at google, and felt absolutely pathetic for how long i've been wallowing in ignorance.
i really feel like he'd make a tremendous difference for the US, because if he is elected, he would bring radical changes. other candidates only say what we want to hear, but ron paul, he says what he wants us to hear. he truly has a message to send us, and one that is extraordinarily simple, and can be applied to all issues. america is in big ****. and i feel as though the next election might actually be a historic event that will decide the fate of this nation.
and here we are, playing the game setup by the US educational system, unaware that the entire nation could be collapsing before our eyes.
perhaps i shouldn't say 'we'. it could just be me, and i feel terrible about myself at the moment.
he wants to abolish the federal reserve, income taxes, and go back to the gold standard. no thanks.
Does he actually want to go back to the gold standard? I thought he was just against fiscal irresponsibility and printing $$$.he wants to abolish the federal reserve, income taxes, and go back to the gold standard. no thanks.

He would go back to the gold standard in his dream world, but he admits that it is not realistic in our society. He wants to stop the government from printing money out of thin air, to keep the value of the dollar from decreasing even more than it already has.
Giving doctors the freedom to collectively negotiate with insurance companies and drive down the cost of medical care.
Reform licensure requirements so that pharmacists and nurses can perform some basic functions to increase access to care and lower costs.
By removing federal regulations, encouraging competition, and presenting real choices, we can make our health care system the envy of the world once again.
Ron Paul is a great guy, and he would help out medicine by bringing it closer to the free market.
And, he's delivered 3000+ babies!
