Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this...I am an Indian medical graduate having completed my MBBS in India.I wish to pursue pharmacy in USA, and want to become a pharmacist to practise in the States.I am a greencard holder.I want to know what is the procedure to apply for this ? Do I need to apply for pharmacy college and follow the same procedure as any other graduate? Or being a doctor already,is there any other procedure which I need to follow? Can my medical degree help me to get into this course? please help. thanks.

Hmm, do you want to go to Pharmacy because you prefer Pharmacy, or do you just think pharmacy would be "quicker" or what have you. It's possible to take the board examinations for medicine. Then I believe that once you pass them you just take a few course/ do a residency and within a few years you'll be a physician in the United States just like in India (though w/ a different specialty probably). There is a process for that.

If you want to apply to Pharmacy. Then look at the many Colleges of Pharmacy and follow their procedures for applying from a foreign country or w/e. You might want to email some of them and get some information first.
There are no shortcuts between medicine and pharmacy in either direction. They do have a lot of overlap, but they really aren't the same.

I don't understand. You're a doctor, and you have a green card. Is it that you're unable to take and pass the boards?
