Does the AADSAS really calculate a course that one has failed even if that course was retaken for a better grade? Because this really brings down my GPA, so much, that I'm even questioning whether I should apply or not.

I think my BCP will be somwhere around either a 2.6 to 2.75 range with the "failed class" being factored in.

Am I screwed or is there still hope, and if so, where do I stand a chance of applying (I haven't taken the DAT yet)?

Unfortunetly AADSAS does caclulate the course that one has failed, even though they have retaken it. Although you are at a slight disadvantage because it is calculated in, it is not hopeless. Admissions comittees adknowledge that you are human and there are extenuating circumstances. However, some schools have a GPA cutoff, they will not consider you if you have under a certain GPA. For other schools, they are a little bit more flexible. Keep in mind that GPA is not everything, if you have a good DAT score and decent extra currics I dont think it would hurt to apply this year. Worse case scenario you are out some money but you can always apply again. Best of luck!

I was hoping to apply to the following schools: let me know what you think of this list given the information that I've listed so far. Besides my BCP being around a 2.7 or so, my overall GPA will be around a 3.4 or so.

Arizona
NYU
Loma Linda
UOP
Louseville
Creighton
Case
Nova
Temple
Tuft
Marquette
