I took Physics II two semesters ago and got a C-. Now I have to retake it and I plan on applying this summer for the 2010 cycle. Is it too late to retake it?? And if it isn't, will it hinder my chance of getting into schools that require a C or better in the courses? I don't know if I should retake it in Fall '09 or Spring '10. I'm just scared that some schools won't even look at my app since I have a C-.

I got LOTS of C-s about 16-17 of em.

take the course over the summer. aadsas has an academic update period after summer is over that lets you update your file with the grades you picked up over the summer.

well, will it be a problem if I take it in the fall or spring?? I'm planning on taking the DAT on June 8th and want to have time to study for it. I'm also planning on taking Micro over the summer. Should I drop Micro and replace it with physics or should I take both?? I don't want this to mess up my DAT studying time though.

well I would personally take micro and physics 2 (and probably one additional class) while studying for the DAT. but I work far better under pressure and not everyone works that way. if you're concerned about too many classes, its better to take the physics class while taking the DAT so you can get the grade in before your interviews start. if you think physics 2 is hard while studying for the DAT, simply remind yourself youve already taken it once (so it should be much easier the 2nd time) and that you can use it as an experience to show yourself you can handle a stressful semester. if you dont want to study as hard as what may be required to do this, just remember that what you want and what you need are not always the same thing and the difference between consistent failures and consistent winners is which way one turns when given the choice between the two.
the only way you should even consider taking micro over the summer instead of physics is if it is holding up your academic progress and will affect your ability to graduate on time. otherwise, it is not justifiable (in my opinion) to take micro and hold physics. if youre thinking micro will be easier than physics 2, just remember which one youve already taken. i think youll actually end up with more study time if you take physics 2 rather than micro. my opinion could be biased though cuz my schools micro class goes relatively in debth and has alot of memorization of useless info thrown into the course.
