Can you apply this year and not have taken the MCAT?

I have a question about the application process. If a person is to apply this year and has not taken the MCAT yet, then will the schools even consider the person? Or do they wait until MCAT has been taken?

you have to have the MCAT in order to apply to medical school. However, they'd probably still take your money. The MCAT is given every April and August. Scores come out 60 days later. Most schools are done interviewing by March or April. Take the MCAT in April and apply early for next years application cycle.

I'm pretty sure that almost all medical schools will require the mcat. without the mcat your application is incomplete and it will be most likely rejected.. (unless you're in some type of combined program, then it might be different). best of luck to you.

You cannot apply for the class entering in 2006. You will take the April and/or August MCAT to apply for the class entering in 2007.

I think you can apply, but you won't be accepted for sure. As mentioned above, they may still be happy to take your money.
