Hi,

I'm taking the MCAT on June 17th, but I was hoping to submit the application before that. Is that an option or do they make you wait until you have your official scores in?

Thanks!

I believe you can submit, but it wont be fully processed until they have a score.

Also, does anyone know how that works on TMDSAS? I meant to mention that as well.

TMDSAS works in a similar way. You should submit the TMDSAS and/or AMCAS app asap, since it takes time to get the app verified. In this way, you can put the verification and MCAT score waiting time together, thus save you valuable time. Good luck!

Then is there even a point to submit early?..

You should definitely submit in early June if you can because as soon as you score arrives in mid-july, you will be complete at that time. If you wait to submit when you get your score in mid-july, it could take anywhere from 4-6 weeks to get verified...so late august-early september. Basically mid-july vs. late august/early september. That 1 1/2 months is a huge difference in the med school application process.

So, I am taking the MCAT on May 27th, which means I won't find out my scores until June 27th. I have been told that I should submit my AMCAS application (if it is complete) on June 1st, but I am worried that my scores won't be as good as I want them to be. My scores will obviously affect which schools are more likely for me to get into and which schools are reaches. What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Put one school in your original app, then add more schools after the score released.
