Can you use The Berkeley Review (MCAT) books to study for the DAT?

Okay, so I was pre-med before I decided that dentistry interests me more now. lol go figure
I bought the books already (gen chem, orgo, biology, and biochem) from The Berkeley Review and I'm thinking it would be such a waste if I don't put it into good use.

I understand that the format of the questions on the DAT will be a bit different than ones on the MCAT but the content should be very similar, right?

As for the other sections of the DAT I will probably use other resources. Speaking of other resources do you guys have any recommendations on how to study for the PAT?
I know that the DAT bootcamp is a popular choice to study for the DAT generally.

Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks 🙂

It is best to use DAT specific materials. The DAT and the MCAT are very different exams. I have worked with many students who have moved from pre-med to dental for the same reason you stated. I have found that premed students more often than not score high on the DAT, of course with proper study. You might consider joining a study group geared towards that DAT, there are several available.

Wishing you the best..Nancy
