Can you wear sunglasses and/or ask the proctors to turn down the lights? I seem to concentrate better in the dark.

Weird question I know, but it doesn't seem to be in the MCAT essentials.

I'm pretty sure non-prescription sunglasses were on the "prohibited items" list at my test center.

That shouldn't be too difficult, I'm planning on trying a massive dose of adderall for the first time...

just before my exam.

I'd try it on a FL practice about a week before... Don't want any allergic reactions or side effects to mess with your score.

For me adderall is more of a study marathon type of thing, not a 4 hour test taking type of thing. Definitely do a trial run first.

So basically you're not competent enough to get a good score with Adderall?

I was just messing around, but on the subject I did have an interesting discussion with a doctor I shadowed who prescribed those medications for people with attention problems on exams/studying.

She basically said that about half of a typical medical school class will be on those drugs. She never gave her opinion if it was right or wrong, but I'm guessing she wasn't too against it if she was prescribing it.

Maybe you could contact them ahead of time and see if another proctor could accommodate you in a darker testing room by yourself?

Otherwise, I don't know. Never heard of this case before.
