I'm getting a little confused, as a lot of information is for american vet schools (re: GRE's)

I'm fairly sure that we don't do GRE's in Canada-at least not at the schools I'm looking at (U Sask and U of C) -but anyone know different?

Also-the VCMA's-I've browsed the site and a few others. My understanding is that it's a service that organizes your applications and sends them for you...Is this correct? If yes, then this is not mandatory as you could do this yourself right?

Sorry for asking so many questions-I'm just getting geared up for applying for 2011 and I want to know everything 🙂 I can't offer much help yet in return (only fair I know!) as I'm new but hopefully as I go along I can help new members! 😳

For WCVM (USask) and UCVM you do NOT need to take the GRE's or any other standardized test (Yay...!).

These two schools are also applied to independently of the VCMA's. Usually WCVM's due date is early January (last year was Jan. 3). For some reason it's still a paper application, so you either have to call/e-mail WCVM for them to send you an application form. Alternatively, if your university has a Pre-vet club they usually have a few copies. I'm not sure how early those forms are available, I think I got mine in November.

UCVM's due date was mid-January last year. They have an online application form on their site (http://vet.ucalgary.ca/) but it's usually not available until closer to January.

Let me know if you have any more questions!
