Greetings! I am a non-traditional Canadian applicant applying to USMD schools for the first time in the upcoming 2019-2020 cycle. I bought the MSAR and have compiled a list of schools that I believe I have the best chance at as a Canadian applicant. I was hoping I could get some feedback on this list - perhaps I missed something. Any/all insights are very much appreciated!

Degree: Honours Specialization in Physiology & Pharmacology

cGPA/sGPA: 3.73/3.91
- the above numbers are estimates as I'm not exactly sure how AMCAS will calculate my GPA, as I have read many mixed posts on how percentage grades from Canadian institutions are converted on AMCAS. However, my sGPA will be higher than my cGPA (if that matters?).

MCAT: 514
130/124/131/129

ECs: Many hours of volunteer-work (medical and non-medical in my community, over 800 throughout the years), physician shadowing in the ER, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Cardiology (approximately 250-300 hours) from 2010-2013, many years of tutoring experience (2010-present), various long-term sports commitments and hobbies (i.e. certified SCUBA diver, etc.) powerlifting (at a competitive level), and jobs ranging from personal training to retail.

--------

List of USMD Schools (not in any particular order):
1) Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans
2) Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California
3) New York Medical College
4) Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University
5) Tulane University School of Medicine
6) University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine
7) University of Utah School of Medicine
8) Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine
9) Wayne State University School of Medicine
10) West Virginia University School of Medicine
11) Central Michigan University College of Medicine
12) Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth
13) George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences

If there are any schools I missed that you believe I should include as per my stats/info, please let me know! Likewise, if there are any listed that I should avoid/remove, please let me know as well.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this and respond - I sincerely appreciate it.

State public schools such as Hawaii, Louisiana State, Utah, West Virginia accept few non residents and even fewer internationals with no connection to the state. I suggest adding these schools
Boston University
Georgetown
Loma Linda
Loyola
Medical College Wisconsin
Rosalind Franklin
St. Louis
Stony Brook

Thank you for your response! I omitted Loma Linda as I do not fit their mission statement (highly devout christians). As for some of the others, I did not include them because their median MCAT is above mine: Boston University (518), Stony Brook (516), St. Louis (522) - I figured especially as a Canadian applicant, I stand little chance at these schools. Or do you believe I would still have a decent shot applying at these?

Rosalind Franklin unfortunately starting this year, does not accept Canadians anymore - everyone must be a US citizen =( Loyola and Wisconsin as well requires that Canadians either be US residents or hold dual-citizenship.

St. Louis does not have a MCAT median of 522. Washington University in St. Louis does. You should include Boston University and Stony Brook
