Basically, I'm looking at options for the upcoming cycle. Applying in Canada (cheaper) but also looking into US however even on MSAR there are so, so many schools and I'm not sure if I'd have good chances....

GPA: 3.8 (low first year, 4.0 in years 2/3 if that changes anything)
MCAT:35 (no section <10)

1 summer research project, 2+ years working on grad students resaearch projects, typical ER volunteering, lots of work and tutoring, RA (working in uni residences), health policy committee student rep.. Other stuff I just don't want to bore anyone...

Worth applying?
thanks 🙂

Sure. Just make sure to apply to the schools that have at least matriculated 2 international students last cycle.
Thank you
As an international, should you aim for schools that have slightly lower MSAR mcats/gpas? Maybe averages around 30-32?

There are only 64 MD schools that accept international aps. After you eliminate the ones that rarely accept even 2, you will be down to a reasonably small number. They tend to be really competitive or not so much. The middle tends to be scanty..
