Not the most competitive app but I'm just wondering nonetheless

GPA 3.9
MCAT 506 (retaking next semester and aiming for ~513)

ECs:
helping with a research lab ~100 hours
volunteering in a rehab hospital ~100 hours
looking after kids with disabilities ~30 hours (7 years ago)

And anything else I can potentially do to be more competitive? I'm applying next june and this is my 5th year in uni. Thanks.

GPA's superb, but if you're going for the MD, that MCAT's going to hunt you down. Remember internationals are expected to have higher stats than Americans in US schools. Bringing it up to ~513 might help, but many MD schools will average MCAT scores. Also, EC's on the weak side. Your 7-year experience won't count since it was before university (right?), which leaves you with just 100 clinical volunteering hours / 100 research hours. Do you have any other volunteer activities?

DOs might be more welcoming, especially with that 3.9 GPA.
