Canadian IMG with low step 1

hey everyone. this is the first time i'm posting on this forum. i recieved my step 1 score a couple of weeks ago and i feel horrible. i scored a 213 and now feel like it's impossible for me to continue. as a canadian, img student i feel the odds are really against me for matching in any residency program. i have read other posts saying that people with those scores can match if they do better on step 2 (99th percentile), good/excellent LORs, etc. I dont know if this will apply to me though since I am not a US citizen. as a canadian, i know to match in the us i also have to take the mccee [the first canadian board exam] . i just dont know if its worth it. any suggestions or ideas would be of great help.

Well, you didn't fail, so I wouldn't say your chances are zero. Do you have any idea what you want to match in? Is there any reason why you don't want to do your residency in Canada?

You not screwed not being a US citizen is going to be a big issue. But 213 definitely dosent put you out of consideration for psych,FM,IM,Peds,OB.
