Hi I'm a Canadian 2nd time re-applicant (First-gen med applicant). Last cycle I applied too late in December and I got rejected from all MD schools and I got waitlisted at two DO schools (MSUCOM & Rowan-Virtua).

3.85 cGPA, 3.81 sGPA

3rd take: 512 MCAT (128,125,129,130) low CARS score ik
1st & 2nd take: 505 (127,123,128,127)

Research:
1775hrs - research and development intern at food science lab
150hrs - Research and science communicator

Clinical:
400hrs - medical assistant
TBD - planning to get paid clinical position until matriculation

Volunteering:
150hrs - bigbrotherbigsister mentor
250hrs - graphic designer for small business
160hrs - chemistry tutor
20hrs - shelter childcare volunteer

Employment:
500hrs - line cook/barista
600hrs - academic mentor
250hrs - Kumon teaching assistant

Shadowing:
100hrs - family doctor shadowing (in-person)
20hrs - MD shadowing across specialties (virtual)
15hrs - DO specific shadowing (virtual)

Leadership:
350hrs - mental health club vice president
