MD Canadian, US Undergrad, 516 MCAT (125 CARS), 3.98 GPA

I am a Canadian citizen, but went to a university within Michigan. I plan on applying in the 2018-2019 cycle, and would like to be prepared for the application.

I took the MCAT in the summer of 2016 and got a 516 (127 Chem/Physics, 125 CARS, 132 Bio, 132 Psych). Should I retake the MCAT because of my 125 CARS section?

I have a 3.98 GPA, and will be graduating with Honors in Psychology.

I have done research, volunteering, and shadowing on an average level. But I have also done other non-traditional activities on a consistent basis.

Don't retake, a 125 for the CARS section in particular isn't terrible, and your overall score is great. Be proud of that!

Are you a permanent resident? Michigan resident?

There are a lot of reaches on your list as well... you should have around 4-6 with an MCAT less than 521 (so no Yale or WashU)

Retaking that MCAT would be a horrible idea, unless you want to apply to Canadian schools.

Not knowing your ECs, I think this is a good list. It's good to have reaches. If you're more financially concerned, I'd reduce number of reaches (I think you currently have 12?). Good luck!
