Hi,

I'm planning on writing the Canadian NBDE this November and am looking for some specific NBDE studying material. All I've found so far is the 'Crack the NBDE' site, cram cards (an app), dental boards mastery (an app in conjunction with U of Iowa), and the dental decks (paper or online), however all of these guides are based on the US Boards.

As the Canadian NDBE is done over one weekend (written exam one day, OSCE the next), does anyone know of any study guides specifically aimed at the Canadian NDBE? Also, does anyone know if the material is that much different between the Canadian and US Board exams?

Any help is much appreciated - cheers!

I took this test a bit more than a year ago.
To the best of my knowledge, there is no resource that is specifically aimed at the Canadian NDEB. The American NBDE part 2 is the test that is most similar to that of the Canadian NDEB. I think the Canadian NDEB had some physiology, anatomy, dental anatomy/occlusion as well (so, some American NBDE part 1 stuff) - but it was mostly part 2 stuff...
There are released practice tests for the Canadian NDEB, and that should be your primary place to study. Work backwards from there, the questions you are getting wrong - go look them up. A similar question, or a different question on a similar topic may appear. They also have released the questions for past OSCEs... with a bit of thinking, maybe some teamwork - you can work backwards and figure out what type of physical model or picture would be presented to you. My class notes, the dental decks and Mosby's for American NBDE part 2 were what I used as supplemental materials.

Good luck!
