Canceling Interviews

I just got accepted to ATSU-SOMA, as well as had an interview at UIWSOM which I am waiting to hear back from. SOMA was my first choice out of the interview options I had. I have interviews coming up at Touro-NV and LECOM-SH. Both schools dont excite me that much. Should I just cancel them and save time/money or go and check them out anyway?

I would cancel Touro-NV unless you have a personal reason for staying in that area specifically. All I can say is that the students make the school and not the other way around there.

Most established of the schools you listed, and they don't have a dress code nor mandatory lecture attendance. They treat students like adult Learners that they are.

I’d definitely go to interviews close by or in areas that interest you and you can afford. Not many times you’ll have this chance to visit these places or schools so if you can afford it might as well get the experience and check them out! That’s what I plan on doing.

Not sure about tuition at all the schools. But I understand Lecom has low tuition. I have made this point on other threads, med school tuition is out of sight. Depending on your finances, I would take tuition into consideration. I know several folks with buyers remorse once their loan coupon books arrive. 300k at 6-8% is not chump change . Guessing at around $2500 per month for 10 yrs depending on interest rate. Are medical salaries rising? Something to think about.

Very true. Thats the only reason I am hesistant to cancel the LECOM interview, the tuition is very affordable in comparison

I've been there, I have friends there, it's not worse than most of the other non-new, private DO schools.

Im going to check it out, interview in November. Ill let you know what I think and how it stacks up against SOMA and UIWSOM. Thanks for the input everybody
